Finally received my photobook on our trip back to Malaysia. It took me more than 2 weeks to sort all the photos I’ve taken and resorted them because I wanted to keep the book to 200 pages. I’ve started journaling and printing our photobooks in 8.5″ x 11″ so I’ve been keeping to this size since.
I’ve been designing photobook for years and started out as a digital scrapbook designer back in 2008. Over time my personal style for my own photobook has changed from pages with embellishments to a more magazine style format and journaling. This is mainly due to the amount of photos I have and the journaling I like to add to each event. I find it really enjoyable reading through the pages and reliving the trips or an occasion we have with our friends and families.
This photobook comprises of the trips we made while in Malaysia and the time spent at GIFT Foundation as well as some memorable times with friends and families. Aside from blogging about our trip to Kuching, Sarawak, Shane and I also visited Bangkok, Thailand and Penang, Malaysia. We made countless short trips around Kuala Lumpur and sometimes our niece and nephews tagged along.
Their photos will be included in the photobook. It has become almost a known fact and expectation to have them in our ‘story’! LOL On the special page for my niece, she has requested uncle Shane bake her a Strawberry Chocolate cake for her birthday. Of all the presents we gave her, she loved play dough best. Shane and I with her two older brothers shaped up animals and dog poos for her per her requests. It was all for fun and I managed to capture the silly things she said on that day.
If you have lots of photos taken on your holiday trips, I always recommend compiling and print them into a book. This is the best way to store your photos and share them with your family. Don’t hesitate to contact me at Atelier1612 for getting this book done for you.
